A very good sounding audience recording. This is the second earliest non-fake circulating recording of Depeche Mode (first is 1980-10-30 Bridgehouse, London, England, UK). This transfer has better sound than the bootlegs "King Of Strangers" and "A Nice Surprise". It's much clearer, with less distortion and noise. Overpowering bass has been diminished and the recording made even clearer thanks to excellent remastering by Fage. Audience noise is still missing between tracks, just as on the bootlegs. Tora! Tora! Tora! misses the last few seconds, and several other songs sound like they're missing the first few seconds. Dave forgot a line during Ice Machine. New Life does not fade-in, and Ice Machine does not fade out as on the bootleg versions. A skip on my tape during Ice Machine was patched using the "A Nice Surprise" CD bootleg source. I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead is quite different from future live versions. Many other songs also have different drums or synths, so this short recording is worth a listen if you haven't heard it yet.

01. [3:25] Television Set
02. [3:28] Addiction
03. [3:40] Dreaming Of Me
04. [3:35] Just Can't Get Enough
05. [4:02] Big Muff
06. [2:01] I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead
07. [3:03] Tora! Tora! Tora!
08. [3:27] Photographic
09. [3:21] New Life
10. [4:23] Ice Machine
Total time: 34:24

I forgot to promote this one, I haven't even updated the main page of the wiki with details :? I'll do that now.

You can also stream the recording on the above wiki link, if you don't want to download it.
